AVEH Studio is young. It was created in 2018 by two architecture students with a passion for photography. Eduardo Santana and Antonio Carrillo obtained their architecture degree in Instituto Tecnologico de Estudio Superiores de Occidente 2018 and Universidad de Guadalajara 2019, respectively. They incorporate into their photography different elements of their complementary life experiences and training in art, thematic photography, CGI, music, literature and love of the outdoors. They have being developing their architectural photography and design styles while working as students and recent graduates in Snohetta NYC, JSa Mexico City, Uniterra Real Estate Developer Guadalajara, GVA/Monolito Guadalajara as well as practical on-the-ground experience in construction and construction supervision in Mexico and the United States. They have taught short and regular courses in photography both, independently and as part of the Art Architecture and Design Campus of the University of Guadalajara. They have specialized in the depiction of natural and build landscapes with an accent in architecture and street photography. Their work/passion has taken them to do photography in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Oporto, Barcelona, Paris, Reykjavik, Mexico City, Cuernavaca, Valle de Bravo, Guadalajara among other sites. Their nature photography includes landscapes from Chile, Mexico, Iceland and the Faroe Islands. Their work has been exhibited at the XI Jalisco Architecture Biennale and the Instituto Cultural CabaƱas; and has been published in print issues from Architectural Digest Mexico and Arquine as well as in digital media for the Morgan Library in NYC, the Jumex Museum in Mexico City and Archdaily. They conceive photography as a collaborative process where the interpretation of the subject is influenced by its surroundings, creating unique memories in each frame. Without trying to replace the reality of the space, they seek to create an image that becomes an experience in itself.
